IS ASTROLOGY FOR REAL???
In my shows I always say "face the facts", I do spiritual readings for people Worldwide. So many people I come across have become victim to the Astrology scam. After seeing so many people suffer because of the fake lies they have been told I have decided to publish this article.
Astrologers claim they can tell your character, abilities, health, love life, events, destiny, and more, just from your birth chart. It seems amazing that a handful of planets could show all this. Indeed, polls consistently show that many people don't believe it. But astrologers have the perfect answer -- just try it. Put astrology to the test, they say, and you'll be convinced it works. What could be more reasonable? So this is precisely what research has done.
Take sets of birth charts jumbled up with descriptions of their owners. Can astrologers match charts to owners? In astrology books they do it all the time. So we expect the proportion of successful matches to pile up close to 100%. To date a total of 54 studies have made this test using a total of 742 astrologers and 1407 birth charts. Despite these impressive numbers the average success rate was no different from the 50% expected by chance, see figure below. For these astrologers (many of them among the world's best) astrology performed no better than tossing a coin.
Astrologers fail to match charts to owners better than chance
Here the results expected by chance were determined by picking matches at random for each of the 54 studies and repeating 10,000 times. The difference between the 51.7% success rate achieved by astrologers and the 50.0% expected by chance is easily explained by the tendency of journals to accept positive results and reject negative results, and is in any case not even weakly significant (p=0.77).
I believe in Karma, we need to do good for good to happen. I always say in my shows that everything we were, what we have become and what we will become is all a result of our karma. Do not categorized into a grid thinking your a certain star sign, there is more to life than he 12 astrological signs and the 9 planets. These results, for astrologers this is bad news, which they dismiss in various ways. They say the tests were unduly difficult or were run by people ignorant of astrology (in fact many were run by astrologers). They say you cannot test astrology (which if true would mean they could never know anything about it). Or they see the bad news as proof of astrology's subtlety, so it is right even when it is wrong (ditto). But once again research comes to the rescue with an ingenious test that avoids any need to match charts with owners.
How well do astrologers agree on what a given birth chart indicates? To date a total of 28 studies have put this to the test using a total of 559 astrologers and 762 birth charts. Typically each test looked at how well 5 to 30 astrologers agreed on what a given chart indicated about its owner. Their average agreement was dismal -- better than tossing a coin but nowhere near the minimum acceptable, see figure below. Again many of these astrologers were among the world's best.
Astrologers fail to usefully agree on what a chart means
In general no test of individuals is acceptable unless the agreement between practitioners or between applications is above 90% where chance agreement is 50%, that is, where first and second opinions agree better than chance in 4 out of 5 cases. However, if we are interested only in large differences rather than small ones, as in measuring blood pressure, then agreement down to 75% may be acceptable provided nothing better is available elsewhere. But anything below 70% is generally useless because first and second opinions will agree better than chance in less than 2 out of 5 cases. The average agreement among astrologers was 54.9%, or better than chance in barely 1 out of 10 cases.
The next question is obvious. If astrologers cannot usefully agree on what a birth chart indicates, how can they know that astrology works? Indeed, why should anyone bother with astrology in the first place? It is here that we need to ask what is meant by "astrology works".

One of the key inspirations of recent research has been to recognize that astrology, however defined, delivers statements that (like statements generally) can contain (1) factual information such as "you have red hair", and (2) personal meaning such as "you are here to fulfill your destiny". As shown below, the distinction between facts and meaning helps to explain why astrology can be seen to work even when it doesn't.

At one extreme are people who seek only personal meaning. For them astrology works if it provides meaning. Here "it works" means "it is meaningful." This kind of astrology does not need to be true, and attacking it would be like attacking Superman comics or a religious faith. At the other extreme are people who seek only factual proof. For them astrology needs to be true. Here "it works" means "it delivers results beyond those explained by non-astrological factors", of which more later.
In between are people who see astrology as meaningful but grounded in the kind of factual statements ("Leos are generous") that fill astrology books. This allows research findings to be welcomed if positive ("it confirms astrology!") and rejected if negative ("astrology is not like that!"). But it does not end there.
How to convince yourself that astrology works
Linda Goodman says Leos are warm, generous, independent, and dislike being told what to do. So you ask one hundred Leos if this is true. Ninety say yes, the rest say it depends but generally yes. Cautiously you press on. Astrologers say a Mars-Neptune conjunction signifies a person who is idealistic and concerned with values such as consideration for others. So you ask one hundred people with a Mars-Neptune conjunction if they are idealistic. Ninety-five say yes.

Still cautious, you have your birth chart read. The astrologer tells you things she could not possibly have known, like you have a sense of humor and you sometimes worry about money. Amazingly, everything fits. You are now convinced that astrology works. You haven't the foggiest idea how it works but it certainly works. You conclude that disbelievers have no idea what they are talking about.
For astrologers that is the end of it. Millions of people have tested astrology in this way, and millions have ended up convinced that it works. For them this is end of story. Astrology really works! No doubt about it!
Why scientists are not convinced
But scientists are not convinced. They know we can be fooled into seeing faces in clouds by a whole host of non-astrological factors such as hidden persuaders (reasoning errors and statistical artifacts). They also know that the remedy is simple -- do what astrologers never do, namely use switched data as controls. So they put the same questions to non-Leos and people without a Mars-Neptune conjunction, and they have their chart read after giving the astrologer someone else's birth data.
The results confirm their suspicions. Whereas 90% of Leos said they were like Leo, so did 90% of non-Leos. Absence of a Mars-Neptune conjunction made no difference to people's idealism. And someone else's chart fitted them just as well as their own -- a point repeatedly confirmed by astrologers whenever they inadvertently use the wrong chart. Many tests with switched data have been made, always with results like these. Which of course is consistent with the studies shown earlier, where astrology performed no better than tossing a coin, and astrologers failed to usefully agree on what a given chart indicated.
For scientists that is the end of it, at least until the evidence indicates otherwise. Your sun sign and birth chart may fit you exactly but so do sun signs and birth charts not your own. Astrologers and clients cannot tell the difference. Like the Emperor's New Clothes, astrology seems to be built on self-deception. At which point the message is clear.

The astrological universe is, after all, the universe of Greco-Roman myth, of Dante, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Blake. It has poetry and philosophy built into it."
Conclusion
There is more to astrology than being true or false. But integrity and validity are crucial because astrology lends itself to commercial abuse, as in sun sign columns and phone-lines, and to exploitation of the gullible. It also faces strong competition from thousands of self-help psychotherapy books that typically describe a problem and how to attack it, all supported by examples. Such books, especially if based on sound scientific principles, can help as much as psychotherapy does, see Clinical Psychology Review 13, 169-186, 1993. So it remains to be seen whether astrology can survive such competition once its own true nature becomes more widely known.

Your thoughts do indeed create your reality. Thoughts are forms of energy that are sent ahead and eventually manifest as physical matter. The thoughts you think determine the outcome of your worldly experiences, from finances to health, relationships to environment. In fact, there is no aspect of your life that is not affected by your thoughts. As Albert Einstein once said, “Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.”
Most of us have been taught to be sloppy thinkers. We remain frozen in worry or defeated by fear. We believe that we have become victims of our circumstances. As our thoughts remain negative or mostly unconscious, we end up attracting by default. We are stunned when we develop a horrible disease, become involved in a tragic car accident or suffer financial failure. Without realizing it, the thoughts we have been thinking are all responsible for this.
The ability to focus a thought is the driving force behind The Law of Attraction. Focusing on a single thought purely and clearly for a short duration of time is the starting point.
The emotion behind the words matters more than the words.
The Universe works on vibration. Everything is vibration first and matter second. When you feel an affirming emotion while focusing thought, you are creating dynamic change. Pure thought with positive emotion is said to be the equivalent of 2000 action hours. The problem that many people run into is that they pretend to be positive on the outside, but are really vibrating negatively on the inside. They might not even be aware of what it is they are doing.
The Law of Attraction is so powerful that it trumps all other laws and forces in the Universe. It never takes time off or breaks and it is always working. It supersedes science, viruses, bacteria, pathogens, parasites, natural disasters, bad luck, heredity, genetics, chance, random, poor diet, too much sugar, astrology, numerology, tea leaves and psychology. Under The Law of Attraction, there are no odds, and statistics are meaningless.
Nothing happens by mistake. The thoughts you think create your reality.
There are two primary forces in the Universe—allowing and resisting. If your manifestation has not yet arrived it is only because you are resisting it. Here is how this works. Imagine driving your car with one foot on the gas pedal and one foot on the brake at the same time. Your car might be moving forward but there will be quite a bit of resistance along the way, not to mention the damage done to the brakes. Most people become frustrated and stop believing in the power of their own thoughts only because they have unconsciously placed great resistance in front of their dreams. Frustration will pull you even more into the negative thinking mode and create more upheaval in the Law of Attraction.
Let’s say that you desire to have a particular apartment you fell in love with at first sight. This is a positive thought manifestation. You are now in a state of creation and allowing. You then begin to worry about how complicated it will be to negotiate the lease. You imagine that you will have a problem with the landlady, or the neighbours may be noisy. Now you are in a state of resistance. Your foot is sharply pressing down on the brakes in your vibrational world. This is why your creation has not yet arrived.
When you are in a state of judgment you are also in a state of resistance. Imagine that you want an easy life where you did not have to work so hard to get by. You keep yourself in a state of resistance when you judge others who already have an easy life where they do not have to work so hard. You cannot belong to a club where you despise the current members. If you want your manifestations to arrive you must already be a vibrational match to them. Festering in a state of judgment is just pushing your desires away.

Key to Understanding Numerology Meanings
Numerology charts are made up of the following numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 22. In order to determine which number applies to you, you must add up the digits that make up your birth date or name. Determining Your Life Path Number :
Your Life Path number is derived from the sum total of the digits that make up your birth date. Begin by converting the month, day, and birth year to *single digits and adding them together. The total sum is further reduced by adding the remaining digits together until a *single digit is obtained.
[*The exception to this rule is with the 'Master Numbers' 11 and 22 - i.e. November the 11th month, birthdays on the 11th or 22nd, or sum totals of 11 or 22. These numbers are not converted to single digits.]
Your Personal Year number is a strong indication of the trends and circumstances you will experience during the year ahead.

Finding Your Personal Year Number
To find your Personal Year number for any given year, add the month and the day of your birth, plus the Universal Year number for that year (i.e. 2009).
For example, someone born on June 27 finds his or her Personal Year number for 2009 by adding 6 (June) plus 9 (the twenty-seventh day) plus 2 (2009) to arrive at a Personal Year number of 26, which is reduced to 8.
Another way to illustrate this formula is shown below:
The Personal Year in this example is 6 + 9 + 2 = 17, which is reduced to 8.
*When calculating your Personal Year number, always reduce Master numbers 11 and 22 to single-digit numbers because they do not apply to the Personal Year Cycle and are reduced to 2 and 4 respectively.

According to Dr. Royal R. Rife, every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of a lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question, concerning the frequencies of substances we eat, breathe and absorb. Many pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of zero. Fresh produce has up to 15 Hz, dried herbs from 12 to 22 Hz and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 Hz.

Another doctor and scientist, whose research has been buried for some time but has managed to resurface due to the work of avid supporters, is Dr Royal Raymond Rife M.D, who developed a frequency generator in the late 1920’s. In brief, Rife successfully treated 1,000 patients diagnosed with incurable cancer in the 1930’s. He was honoured with 14 awards and an honorary doctorate.
After the unsuccessful attempt by pharmaceutical companies to buy out his research and equipment, his office was ransacked, his research paperwork was stolen and the machine that healed all those 1,000 “incurable” cancer patients was destroyed.
In 1934, before this destruction occurred, the University of Southern California appointed a Special Medical Research Committee to bring terminal cancer patients from Pasadena County Hospital to Rife's San Diego Laboratory and clinic for treatment. The team included doctors and pathologists assigned to examine the patients - if still alive - in 90 days. After the 90 days of treatment, the Committee concluded that 86.5% of the patients had been completely cured. The treatment was then adjusted and the remaining 13.5% of the patients also responded within the next four weeks. The total recovery rate using Rife's technology was 100%. http://www.rife.org/
What Rife had developed was a 100% effective cure for many forms of cancer. So why do we not know about this and why are there so many cancer research foundations in existence? Put simply, it is due to the economic motives of the orthodox medical community, which relies on funding for cancer research - such funding often coming from pharmaceutical companies - and whose fortunes would be damaged if a cure for cancer was found. (That is, it’s OK to search for a cure but don’t really find one!) This is a story that illustrates yet another grand attempt by the mainstream medical community to control the lives - and deaths - of so many millions of people today.

How can we prove this?
According to a report (Epidemiology, May 2001; 11:345-349) psychological stress - particularly the chronic type that may accompany a personality with a negative outlook - is a risk factor for contracting colds. An optimistic outlook and outgoing personality seemed to protect individuals, investigators found. The findings indicate that high levels of psychological stress are closely associated with contracting the common cold. While the common cold is rarely a serious health hazard, it is responsible for about 30 million days of lost work in the U.S. alone each year. To investigate whether stress increased the likelihood of developing a cold, the researchers surveyed more than 1,100 Spanish university staff and students at regular intervals over a one year period. The study focused on different types of stress, including stress from life events, perceived stress, having a generally negative outlook, anxious or compulsive personality, compared with having a positive outlook/attitude to life.
Individuals with a negative outlook were at greatest risk of developing colds - regardless of their intake of vitamin C and zinc or their smoking and drinking habits. The next highest-risk individuals were those who believed that they were under stress. These people were nearly three times as likely to develop a cold, according to the report.

1) Surround yourself by the right kind of people
One of the best ways to boost your energy and keep it vibrating at a happy high is by exchanging positivity with other people. Positive energy feeds off positivity (much in the same way negative energy does), so it’s important to surround yourself with people who give you that warm glow in their presence. While giving a friend in need some understanding words of wisdom (and vice versa) is an essential part of the friendship deal, it’s important you don’t find yourself being the only one perking others up.
Also, if you’re going through a tough time, while it’s encouraging to seek the support of people in similar situations, be wary not to let yourself get pulled down by their views, particularly if they have a tendency to play the victim card.
If you feel drained by other people’s energy, or you have relationships in your life that are no longer serving you, trying cutting these negative energetic cords to give yourself an energetic makeover.
2) Use your imagination
When you’re feeling that life isn't heading in the direction you’d like, or you’re not in the driver’s seat, it’s only natural to be experiencing a little lackluster. This is where some imagination can go a long way.
Remember in school the joy you’d get when writing a fictional story or during art class, when you were just left up to your own creative devices to dream as big as you wanted?
What happened to those days? Sure, imagining that you have a pet dragon or that you will become a princess may not be so helpful now, but it’s important to start imagining what your dream life looks like, and most of all, get excited by the possibilities. Feeling you’re going nowhere and having nothing to look forward to will leave you feeling depleted of joy and enthusiasm. Creating a vision for yourself will give you a new sense of purpose, with an energy supply to match.
Turn things around by writing down your dreams down, and start mapping the path to get there. What little steps can you take each day? If it’s a holiday that’s pulling at your heartstrings, start researching it and work out a savings plan. You might be surprised to discover that by cutting back on a few coffees each week, that holiday is closer than you imagine.
3) Look after yourself
Give yourself the gift of sufficient sleep. Some people need the recommended eight hours, whereas others can function perfectly fine off six. Work out what your body needs and try and stick to this routine. And no matter how exciting your day is, if your find yourself daydreaming about sleep or noticing how comfortable that couch in your work reception looks, there’s a pretty good chance your energy supply is suffering too.
And beyond getting enough shut-eye, your diet always plays a huge factor in how you feel. A healthy body reaping the rewards of nutrients found in fresh produce is going to provide you with the type of sustainable energy you need to get through the day. Caffeine, greasy foods or your sugary weapon of choice may be convenient and give you a temporary high, although the come down often leaves you in a worse condition (particularly if there’s guilt involved!).

During Hanuman Jayanti, temples or shrines of Hanuman ji are wonderfully embellished using vivid lights and flowers. Glorious idols or pictures of Hanuman ji are beautifully decorated in temples. Many devotees bring pictures or images of Bal Hanuman (child Hanuman) and establish it in home shrines. During such propitious occasion, adores get early in morning, take bath and religiously worship Hanuman ji to remove their impurities. Reciting Sundar Kand, the fifth book in the Ramayan, is also one of the important ritual attached to Hanuman Jayanti. In Hanuman temples, pundits and devotes sing devotional songs, bhajan, kirtan and arti of Hanuman ji. Most people visit Hanuman temples and offer their adoration spiritually.
